the Birkin 30.
Along with the Birkin 25, it’s one of the most loved sizes,
and we’ve received many comments saying they wished there were more authentic comparison references for the size 30.

On the left is the authentic Birkin 30 in Bleu Nuit Togo with gold hardware.

Even allowing for the wear,
the overall silhouette and details are almost identical,
as you can see immediately.

All of these details match the authentic bag precisely.
<Base feet comparison>
The Birkin has four
clous, or metal feet, on the base to protect the leather.
Their position, size and color
are the same on the authentic bag and Thierry Studio’s.
The bag is just as stable when set down.
<Side silhouette & angle of the flap>
From the side, the flap naturally curves over the inner leather.
That curve, the central sangle position and the small visible line of stitching
all match, even when the bags are placed side by side.
Reproducing every curve this carefully
requires far more than copying—it takes an experienced eye and hand.
From the front too,
the flap shape, sangle placement and stitching
leave nothing to fault.
<Precision of the saddle stitching>
Anyone with an interest in Hermès
will understand the significance of saddle stitching.
It is more than a sewing technique:
it represents the essence of craftsmanship.
The entire process is done by hand,
creating a result that is stronger than machine stitching
and more refined in appearance.
Its evenly spaced, carefully angled stitches
enhance the bag’s character
and elegance. The trade-off is that
this technique can only be done by hand,
requiring considerable time and effort.
? A small tip: not every authentic bag has
exactly the same spacing or stitch finish.
Each Hermès artisan has a slightly different touch and style.

<Backstitching at the handle attachment>
Look at the stitching where the handle is attached,
and you will see three backstitches.
Some authentic examples, however,
have only two, so this detail
does not determine authenticity on its own.
< Hardware engraving>
Next, let’s look at the hardware.
Hermès The engraving on a size 30 differs from that on a size 25.
People sometimes compare a size 30 with photos
from a size 25 review and become confused,
but the size 30 has its own engraving style.
What you see in the photo above
is the standard engraving for size 30 hardware.
On Thierry Studio’s version,
the position, color and depth of the engraving
closely match the authentic size 30.
<Logo-stamp pressure and clarity>
The logo stamp also closely matches the original.
It is essential not to apply excessive pressure when stamping.
We have emphasized this several times,
but forcing the stamp down to make the logo clearer
can damage the leather. ?
The key is to use the minimum pressure needed to protect the leather, while
still producing a clear logo through delicate control of force.
This is one of the moments
when an artisan’s experience matters most.
<Pontet hardware details>
The final detail is the Pontet.
This is the hardware that holds the sangles in place,
a component that highlights Hermès’ structural precision.
From the pontet’s position, thickness, height and angle
to the plating and finish of the metal surface,
Thierry Studio’s version is carefully made
to match the standard of the original.
